The Pinnacle Program

The Pinnacle program was established in 2005 to recognize Sections and Divisions that successfully create and deliver member value during year. Sections and Divisions are reviewed in four categories of achievement: organization, technical programming, membership and communication. Two levels or achievement are possible: Silver and Gold.
The Injection Molding Division received the Gold Pinnacle Award in 2006 – 2010, 2012, and 2013. In 2011, the IMD was the recipient of the Silver Pinacle award.

 

Communications Excellence Award

The Communications Excellence Award program was established in 2009 to recognize Sections, Divisions, and Special Interest Groups that implement effective communication practices.
The Injection Molding Division is the proud recipient of the Society of Plastics Engineers’ Communication Excellence Award the following years:

2010 – Notable Achiever
2011 – Notable Achiever
2013 – Communications Leader

 

Grants:

Grants from the SPE Foundation are available every year, funds permitting, for programs/projects that will benefit the members of the Society of Plastics Engineers, the plastics industry, and/or the general public. The Foundation Grants Program provides funding for programs such as exhibits at museums, attendance at educational training courses, books and equipment for classroom use, or the development of classroom-relevant educational programs.

Through educational grants programs, the SPE Foundation strives to provide students of all ages with the means to explore the science and technology of plastics and polymers, and for programs/projects at educational institutions that will benefit the members of the Society of Plastics Engineers, the plastics industry, and/or the general public.

Scholarships:

The SPE Foundation offers numerous scholarships to students who have demonstrated or expressed an interest in the plastics industry.  They must be majoring in or taking courses that would be beneficial to a career in the plastics industry.  This would include, but is not limited to, plastics engineering, polymer science, chemistry, physics, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, and industrial engineering.  All applicants must be in good standing with their colleges.  Financial need is considered for most scholarships.
